Blade of the Phantom Master is a manhwa (also manga) and webtoon written by Youn Inwan and art by Yang Kyungil.

"What is about to happen is mere coincidence. Never dream for such miracle to reoccur." After the ancient kingdom ‘Jyushin’ has perished, the only surviving secret royal inspector Munsu travels about the world, judging the evil.

Based on historical setting of Korea during the Joseon Age. Long ago, in Jushin, secret royal inspectors named "Phantom Master (암행어사, Amhaengeosa, 暗行御史, アメンオサ, Amen'osa or Angyo Onshi)" wandered the country and restored the order. But now that Jushin is destroyed, only one is still wandering.

This comic is entered Japan first as a manga, and it became a serial in South Korea as well.

In 2004, Japanese studio and Korean studio collaborated to create an animated film adaptation of this comic. This entitled Phantom Master: Dark Hero from the Ruined Empire.

On November 19, 2017, this work is rebooted and started serializing to Naver three times a week. Because this comic is rebooted, it reconstructed the coloring and the cut arrangement newly in the webtoon style. Story and finish are different, and it belongs to a universe called the Super String.
